Where We Serve
We serve clients in Maryland, Northern Virginia, and the DC at venues that provide on-site loading and parking areas.
Our team is known for warm hospitality, attention to detail, and helping hosts feel supported.
Who We Serve
We work with creatives, non-profit organizations and small businesses that may have tight budgets, may receive drop-off catered food or platters, but want to have a elevated or themed presentation.
We collaborate with caterers and chefs who want to focus on cooking and allow our team to create the ambiance. We frequently serve food along with the caterers team.
For gatherings under 40 the founder/owner may collaborate with home cooks who don't have the space or elevated serving items. We may also advise on food styling and menu planning.
Many hands make light work. If the client has their own decor, we may support by setting-up, greeting guests, and executing tasks that allow the host to focus on engaging with their guests.
Our Process & Pricing
We bring the guest and buffet table accent décor and serving items to your venue. We set up the space or advise the client team on set-up.
We often arrive before the caterer to prepare buffet spaces so caterers only have to place their pans or trays of food in designated areas. We serve seamlessly with our long-time caterer partners and home cooks to support.
Our services are designed to be affordable with prices typically ranging from $400 – $1,400. The range is based on design choices, the number of team members needed for setup, and the amount of time we have access to the venue before and after the event.
Our accent decor and linens come in green, blue, black, white, gold, purple, blush, coral, burgundy, and yellow, and silver. We have linens to cover buffet tables and guest tables for small gatherings. We may have to supplement guest table linens for larger events. We receive discounts from many 3rd party linen rental partners.

Our Story
Pictures and videos demonstrate how we bring visual interest and design continuity to an event. What also distinguishes us is the support. We are intentional about being proactive and seizing opportunities in real time. A guest asked Michelle where she to find her coat as she was leaving Joyful Clarity's event launch. Michelle walked with her to get the coat and asked did you enjoy yourself today. The guest was gushing with positive feedback. Michelle asked would you be willing to say that on a video for future advertising. She said yes. Michelle noticed the client was engaging with guest. Rather than interrupting the client to get permission, she took the initiative to ask the IT team member to capture the feedback on camera and do the same with others. The client did not ask for this but Michelle knew this would enhance the social media presence for the client. We want guests to have a great experience but we also want the client's business to thrive.

Michelle Long is the Founder/Owner of Meaningful Gatherings LLC. Michelle believes you don't have to have huge platform to have impact. She is happiest when she is connecting people for empowerment focused gatherings. Design is a tool to enhance and elevate the experience.
